Doyle

Known as "The Darkness" and formerly "The Queen's Darkness," Doyle is the Captain of the Queen's Royal Guard and one of the most powerful warriors in all of Faerie. He is half-Sidhe and has served Queen Andais for millennia. Doyle develops a deep romantic connection with Merry and becomes one of her primary guards and lovers. His loyalty shifts from the Queen to Merry, and he eventually gives up the Crown of Faerie itself to save Frost, demonstrating his capacity for love and sacrifice.
