Hamish Macbeth

Hamish Macbeth is the local police constable in the fictional village of Lochdubh in the Scottish Highlands. Red-haired and seemingly lazy, Hamish is actually perceptive and clever. He deliberately avoids promotion to remain in his village, where he solves murders with his pets and local knowledge.
