Walt Longmire

Walt Longmire is the sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. A widower still grieving the loss of his wife, Walt is old-school, tough, and deeply principled. He has a strong sense of justice and connection to the land and people of Wyoming. Walt works closely with his friend Henry Standing Bear and relies on his deputies, particularly Vic Moretti. Despite his age and traditional approach, he is a skilled investigator and protector of his county.
