Lee Child is the pen name of British author James Dover Grant. He is best known for his Jack Reacher thriller series, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The series debuted in 1997 with "Killing Floor" and has become one of the most successful thriller franchises in publishing history. Child's novels have been adapted into films starring Tom Cruise and an Amazon Prime series starring Alan Ritchson. In 2020, Child began co-writing the series with his brother Andrew Grant (writing as Andrew Child), and in 2024 Andrew took over as the primary author. The books are known for their fast-paced action, intricate plots, and iconic lone-wolf protagonist.
