Captain Underpants follows two mischievous fourth graders, George Beard and Harold Hutchins, who accidentally hypnotize their grumpy principal, Mr. Krupp, into believing he is a crime-fighting superhero in his underwear. The series is presented as a comic-stovel (comic + novel) with flip-o-rama animation and has been credited with getting millions of children excited about reading.
